He completed his PhD from University of Calcutta, West Bengal, India and Senior Research Fellow of Eastern Regional Station, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Kolkata, India. He then Joined as Veterinary Officer under Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal. He has a vast knowledge about field related animal health research covering epidemiology, identification, disease diagnosis, treatment and monthly return reports in G.W.B., India. He is well expert in animal research (in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo), molecular and cell biology wet research and epidemiological investigations. He is Associate fellow of West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology. He is also editorial board member and reviewer of international organizations. He joined afterwards in West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, Kolkata, India
